CITY RUNNERS aims to build running groups in districts all across Hong Kong, truly achieving the spirit of “there’s always a group nearby.” The initiative makes it easy and convenient for everyone in the city to experience the joy of running, develop a regular exercise habit, and enhance both physical and mental well‑being. If you’re ready to take your first step, CITY RUNNERS is always here to welcome you!

At present, there are 30 running groups established across different areas, so you can choose the one that best suits your location or preference.

📖 Group Introduction: TFollow the Wild Trail Runners awakens your endurance instincts. Our spirit is to embrace the mountains and run freely among nature. By blending movement with the wilderness, members experience the beauty of the outdoors, ignite their sense of adventure, and build a deeper connection with nature.

⛰️Trail running is more than a physical challenge ,  it is a journey of the mind and spirit. Through interaction with the mountains and with ourselves, we grow personally and find our own sense of  belonging in the great outdoors.

⛑️ Safety Guidelines and Emergency Response Measures:
1. Please arrive on time at the meeting point. The group will depart punctually, and latecomers will not be waited for.
2. Wear appropriate clothing and hiking gear, for example, basic first‑aid items, suitable sportswear, running shoes with grip soles, and trekking poles where needed.
3. Bring enough supplies such as adequate hydration and light snacks. All rubbish must be taken away to keep the mountains clean.
4. Install the HKSOS emergency app:
🆘 HKSOS can send a rescue signal even without mobile reception, allowing search and rescue teams to locate you as quickly as possible.

5. Follow the designated group route and do not leave the team without informing the leaders. Any special arrangements must be discussed before departure.

📖 Group Introduction: The Cantonese name of Fearless Dragons draws on a clever play of sounds that resembles the words for “blind” and “deaf.” Members include runners who are visually impaired, hearing impaired, both visually and hearing impaired, as well as pacers and sighted participants of all levels. Everyone runs together to enjoy a light‑hearted and joyful evening filled with movement, laughter, and connection.

📖 Group Introduction: Chill Fit Running is the newest CITY RUNNERS group in Wan Chai, created for those who love an easy, relaxing vibe while staying active. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced runner, you can find your own rhythm here and enjoy a truly welcoming running environment. Our run leaders are not professional coaches, and speed is not the goal. The focus is on building steady, comfortable exercise habits together. Running routes pass through iconic landmarks such as the Hong Kong Convention Centre and the Hopewell Centre, making Wan Chai a perfect place for a sensible and scenic run. The group name represents the idea of finding a pace that “fits you,” while also capturing the genuine neighbourhood spirit of Wan Chai’s running community. No pressure — all you need is a pair of running shoes and the desire to move. As for the name Weight Gain Run, it playfully recalls how feeling a little out of shape often motivates us to run. 📖 Group Introduction: We are not just running but also rediscovering our own rhythm between the concrete jungle and the sea breeze. HK East Bonito Pace Pack takes its English name from “Chai Yu” (柴漁) in Cantonese, which sounds like “bonito,” while also symbolising a group of cheerful and “urban fishermen.” We are not professional runners, but a group rooted in Hong Kong Island East who chase not personal bests but the spirit of jog: casting our nets with our footsteps to catch moments of sweat, laughter, and ocean air scattered across the city. To us, running should never feel heavy or serious. “Chai” (柴) represents fun and companionship among friends, while “Yu” (漁) reminds us of patience and reward where we wait for health and happiness to come as we run. Our track is the everyday scenery of Island East — simple, real, and full of life.

Whether you are a beginner taking your first strides or a jogger looking to relax, this is the perfect place for you. We run through neighbourhood streets and alleys under the morning light — not just for exercise but to meet neighbours and feel the warmth of our community.
