Recharge and Become a Better Caregiver!

BEE CARER

With the aging population in Hong Kong, the number of caregivers continues to rise. Many caregivers are also working full-time, and the demands of their caregiving responsibilities often lead to physical strain without their awareness. The heavy burden loaded on caregivers can make them susceptible to mental health issues or push them to the brink of burnout.

In response, RunOurCity has launched a course designed for caregivers – BEE Carer.

The course is funded by HSBC Hong Kong Community Partnership Program 2024 under The Hongkong Bank Foundation and is taught by professionals, including registered social workers, mindfulness instructors, and stretching coaches. Participants will engage in a series of workshops and running groups designed with four key elements of “exercise, nutrition, rest, and communication,” providing them with a meaningful respite and an opportunity to build a network of supportive fellow caregivers, helping them regain the energy to continue their vital roles.

Course Content:

⦿  Understanding caregivers’ needs
⦿  Learning mindful living
⦿  Establishing a network of fellow caregivers
⦿  Providing resources and community support for caregivers
⦿  Cultivating emotional health
⦿  Improving running techniques
