Beneficiaries>>>
There are two beneficiaries in this event:
RunOurCity Foundation Limited
RunOurCity Foundation Limited is a locally registered charitable organization established in 2013. Its “Youth・ROC” program is an eight-week professional and systematic running course for young people. The program aims to help young people build confidence, perseverance and get physically stronger. During the program, young people are encouraged to run 10km as they build up their stamina, persistence, and determination, which are important to young people nowadays as they face increasing challenges in life.

Beneficiary Project: Youth.ROC
Through the 8-week training program, youngsters will be trained to build up their coordination, stamina, and persistence, thus promote healthier growth and boost self confidence, focus and determination. We hope that funds raised can help channel the Youth.ROC program to more, if not all 400, secondary schools.

Hong Kong Network for the Promotion of Inclusive Society
The Hong Kong Network for the Promotion of Inclusive Society (HKNPIS) is committed to facilitate equal participation in sports rehabilitation, education and employment, universal design technology, as well as arts and culture. HKNPIS also actualizes the the collaboration of the Government, businesses and civil society on creating an accessible environment that is conducive to our ultimate goal of “equal contributions for an inclusive society”. To know more: www.inclusive.org.hk

Beneficiary Project: Fearless Buddies’ Academy Mentorship Program

The project is aimed to use sports as a means to demonstrate a tripartite collaboration model involving persons with disability, young people and corporate volunteers as guide runners together for inclusive cooperation. Corporate volunteers act as bridge to promote able-disabled inclusion and integration by giving young people EDUCATION on personal development, an opportunity to develop EMPATHY and experience EMPOWERMENT. Persons with disability are also able to build their self-confidence and blend into the society through sharing their experiences with young people, as well as interacting with people from all grounds. The program includes running training sessions, participation in charitable running races, community engagement namely home visit, environmental conservation activities and event helper, as well as experiential activities such as blindfold sport training.
